Travis Ellis - Frankfort Police Department
Travis Ellis was appointed Frankfort Police chief on Dec. 11, 2017. Ellis has 19 years of law enforcement experience. He began his law enforcement career with the Nicholasville Police Department. In 2001, Ellis joined the Frankfort Police Department as a patrol officer, moving through the ranks to become chief. Ellis has an associate’s degree in Criminal Justice and a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership, both from Columbia Southern University. He is a graduate of the Department of Criminal Justice Training Basic Training Class No. 267. Ellis looks forward to getting started and moving the department in the right direction.
Todd Justice - Nicholasville Police Department
Todd Justice was appointed Nicholasville Police chief on Dec. 26, 2017. Justice has nearly 20 years of law enforcement experience. His entire law enforcement career has been spent with Nicholasville, moving through the ranks to become chief. Justice has a bachelor’s degree in Police Administration from Eastern Kentucky University. He is a graduate of the Department of Criminal Justice Training Basic Training Class No. 268. Justice also is a graduate of Academy of Police Supervision Class No. 42 and Criminal Justice Executive Development Class No. 17.
Thomas M. Gearheart - Allen Police Department
Thomas Gearheart was appointed Allen Police chief on Aug. 23, 2017.
Michael Roe - Paintsville Police Department
Michael Roe was appointed Paintsville Police chief on May 8, 2017. Roe has 17 years of law enforcement experience. He began his law enforcement career with the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office. He joined the Paintsville Police Department as a patrol officer and moved through the ranks to become chief. Roe also served part-time in the U.S. Marshalls’ Office, in Pikeville. He is a graduate of the Department of Criminal Justice Training Basic Training Class No. 289.
Henry Hamlet, II - Trenton Police Department
Henry Hamlet was appointed Trenton Police chief on Nov. 28, 2017. Hamlet began his law enforcement career with the Trenton Police Department. He then served as a constable for seven years before returning to Trenton. He is a graduate of the Department of Criminal Justice Training Basic Training Class No. 318.
Kim Kraeszig - Bardstown Police Department
Kim Kraeszig was appointed Bardstown Police chief on Sept. 6, 2017.
