Mitchell Walker - Western Kentucky University Police Department

Mitchell Walker was appointed Western Kentucky University Police chief in September 2017. Walker has nearly 28 years of law enforcement experience. He began his career with the Burkesville Police Department and served six years. Most of his career was with the Bowling Green Police Department, where he retired. Walker came to WKU in 2012 as a patrolman and moved through the ranks to become chief. He has a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Western Kentucky University. He also is a graduate of the Department of Criminal Justice Training Basic Training Class No. 202 and Academy of Police Supervision Class No. 59.


David Decker - Taylorsville Police Department

David Decker was appointed Taylorsville Police chief in November 2017. Decker has 32 years of law enforcement experience. He began his career with the Kentucky State Police and retired in 2010 after 24 years of service. Decker also served the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office for two years. He came back to KSP in 2013 before moving to Taylorsville in February 2017. Decker attended the University of Louisville. He is a graduate of the Kentucky State Police Academy Class No. 64.
