Kenny D. Stidham - Martin Police Department

Kenny Stidham was appointed Martin Police chief in July 2018. Stidham has 20 years of law enforcement experience. He began his career with the Perry County Sheriff’s Office. Stidham also served with the Hazard Police Department before coming to Martin. He is a graduate of the Department of Criminal Justice Training Basic Training Class No. 271.


Lawrence H. Nettles - Burkesville Police Department

Lawrence Nettles was appointed Burkesville Police chief on Aug. 1. Nettles has 22 years of law enforcement experience. His entire career has been with Burkesville, moving through the ranks to become chief. Nettles attended Western Kentucky University and Lindsey Wilson College. He is a graduate of the Department of Criminal Justice Training Basic Training Class No. 250.


John Gaffin - Northern Kentucky University Police Department

John Gaffin was appointed Northern Kentucky University Police chief on Jan. 1, 2017. Gaffin has more than 11 years of law enforcement experience. His entire career has been with NKU, moving through the ranks to become chief. Gaffin has a master’s degree from the University of Louisville. He also is a graduate of the Department of Criminal Justice Training Basic Training Class No. 385, Academy of Police Supervision Class No. 36 and Southern Police Institute AOC Class No. 128.


Owen L. Noe - Evarts Police Department

Owen Noe was appointed Evarts Police chief on March 18. Noe has 13 years of law enforcement experience. He began his career, as chief, with the Loyall Police Department. Noe joined Evarts in 2009 as a patrol officer and moved through the ranks to become chief. He is a graduate of the Department of Criminal Justice Training Basic Training Class No. 376.


Tom Grau - Florence Police Department

Tom Grau was appointed Florence Police chief on July 24. Grau has 23 years of law enforcement experience. His entire career has been with Florence, moving through the ranks to become chief. Grau has a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, with a minor in Business Administration, from the University of Cincinnati. He also is a graduate of the Department Criminal Justice Training Basic Training Class No. 240 and Northwestern Staff and Command Class No. 250


John Wilhoit - Woodford County Sheriff’s Office

John Wilhoit was appointed Woodford County sheriff in August 2017.


Brian Allen - Harrodsburg Police Department

Brian Allen was appointed Harrodsburg Police chief on May 14. Allen has16 years of law enforcement experience. He began his career with the Liberty Police Department. Allen also served the Kentucky Department of Corrections and the Department of Military Affairs before coming to Harrodsburg as a patrol officer. He moved through the ranks to become chief. Allen is a graduate of the Department of Criminal Justice Training Basic Training Class No. 335, Academy of Police Supervision Class No. 57 and a 2009 Kentucky Criminalistics Academy graduate.


Casey Kilgore - Fort Thomas Police Department

Casey Kilgore was appointed Fort Thomas Police chief on Aug. 1. Kilgore has 18 years of law enforcement experience. His entire career has been with Fort Thomas, moving through the ranks to become chief. Kilgore has a bachelor’s degree in Criminology from Ohio University and a master’s degree in Public Administration from Northern Kentucky University. He also is a graduate of the Department of Criminal Justice Training Basic Training Class No. 300, Academy of Police Supervision Class No. 14, Criminal Justice Executive Development Class No. 11 and the School of Strategic Leadership Class No. 3.
