Kenneth Stewart - Taylorsville Police Department
Kenneth Stewart was appointed chief of Taylorsville Police Department on Sept. 1, 2016. Stewart has 25 years of law enforcement experience. He spent most of his law enforcement career with the Kentucky State Police, Post 12, in Frankfort. He also served the Mayfield Post for three months. Stewart is a graduate of the Kentucky State Police Academy Class No. 69.
Jonathan K. Best - Paris Police Department
Jonathan Best was appointed chief of Paris Police Department on Dec. 13, 2016. Best has nearly 31 years of law enforcement experience. He began his law enforcement career with the Beattyville Police Department as a part time officer. Best also has served the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, Winchester and Paris Police departments and the Clark County Board of Education as a school resource officer. Best returned to Paris assistant chief and moved through the ranks to become chief. He is a graduate of the Department of Criminal Justice Training’s Basic Training Class No. 239.
